Crime Story
On October 31, 1991, Eric Arant and the victim were at a basketball court on Baldwin Avenue in Charlotte and became engaged in a dispute. The dispute was focused on a bad drug deal and Eric, "Big E", Arant left the court to obtain a weapon. He returned to the basketball court with a handgun and shot the victim in the back. The victim died on the court as a result of his wounds.

Arant was later arrested and charged with the murder. He pled to second degree murder and was sentenced to twenty years in prison.
