The following are planned service adjustments for CATS services to be implemented on MARCH 2, 2009

1 Mt. Holly – Select weekday trips will be extended to the Paw Creek area. Other weekday trips will continue to turn around on West Todd Road. On weekdays, the last inbound trip will leave West Todd at 11:54 p.m. On weekdays, the last outbound trip will leave the Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC) at 12:30 a.m. On Sundays, inbound service will operate from 5:55 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., and outbound service will operate from 6:32 a.m. to 12:32 a.m.
2 Ashley Park – Service will be adjusted to operate on Mint St. between Morehead St. and Summit Avenue. Route 2 will no longer operate on Morehead between Freedom Dr. and Mint. Passengers on this section of Morehead can use Route 5 Airport as an alternative. The last weekday outbound trip will leave the CTC at 12:30 a.m. Sunday inbound service will operate from 6:46 a.m. to 11:48 p.m. Sunday outbound service will operate from 6:28 a.m. to 12:29 a.m.
3 The Plaza – The first outbound trip on Saturday will depart from the CTC at 6:15 a.m. The last outbound trip on Sunday will depart from the CTC at 12:32 a.m. The last inbound trip on Sunday will depart from The Plaza and Barrington Dr. at 1:01 a.m.
4 Country Club – The last outbound trip on weekdays will depart from the CTC at 12:50 a.m. The last inbound trip on weekdays will depart from The Plaza and Matheson Ave. at 12:26 a.m. The last outbound trip on Sunday will depart from the CTC at 12:35 a.m. The last inbound trip on Sunday will depart from The Plaza and Matheson at 12:50 a.m.
5 Airport – The last outbound trip on weekdays will depart from the CTC at 11:30 p.m. The last inbound trip on weekdays will depart from the airport at 12:02 a.m. The last outbound trip on Sunday will depart from the CTC at 12:13 a.m. The last inbound trip on Sunday will depart from the airport at 12:43 a.m.
6 Kings Drive – Minor schedule adjustments.
7 Beatties Ford – The first outbound trip on Saturday will depart from the CTC at 6:08 a.m. The first inbound trip on Sunday will depart from Feldbank Dr. and Trinity Rd. at 5:56 a.m. The last outbound trip on Sunday will depart from the CTC at 12:35 a.m. The last inbound trip on Sunday will depart from the Rosa Parks Community Transit Center at 1:03 a.m.
8 Tuckaseegee Road – The last outbound trip on Sunday will depart from the CTC at 12:25 a.m. The last inbound trip on Sunday will depart from Thriftwood and Freedom Drives at 11:55 p.m.
9 Central Avenue – The last outbound trip on Sunday will depart from the CTC at 12:30 a.m. The last inbound trip on Sunday will depart from Albemarle Rd. and Farm Pond Ln. at 1:03 a.m.
10 West Boulevard – The last outbound trip on Sunday will depart from the CTC at 12:30 a.m.
11 North Tryon – Service on weekdays will be improved to operate every 15 minutes from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Other minor trip time adjustments will occur to the weekday schedule. The last outbound trip on Sunday will depart from the CTC at 12:30 a.m. The last inbound trip on Sunday will depart from UNC-Charlotte at 12:03 a.m.
12 South Boulevard – Service will be extended to the LYNX Blue Line Carson Station. Late night trips will terminate at the LYNX Blue Line Scaleybark Station starting at 8:19 p.m. on weekdays and 8:24 p.m. on weekends. Schedule adjustments will be implemented as a result of the routing adjustment.
15 Randolph Road – Service will not operate south of Sharon Amity Road. Trips to the Sherwood Forest area will be discontinued. Customers on Randolph Rd. between Sharon Amity and Sardis Rd. can use Route 45x Carmel Road Express as an alternative on weekdays. Route 15 will operate every 20 minutes during midday hours on weekdays. The last outbound trip on Sunday will depart from the CTC at 12:30 a.m. A few early morning trips on Saturday and Sunday will be discontinued due to lower ridership.
16 South Tryon – The last outbound trip on Sunday will depart from the CTC at 12:11 a.m. The last inbound trip on Sunday will depart from Pressley Rd. and Rosethorn Pl. at 12:44 a.m.
17 Commonwealth Ave. – Sunday outbound service will operate between 6:18 a.m. and 12:18 a.m. Sunday service inbound will operate between 6:14 a.m. and 12:14 a.m.
18 Selwyn Avenue – Service will not operate on Sunday. Route 19 Park Road or Route 6 Kings Drive may serve as an alternative for Sunday service.
19 Park Road – The last outbound trip on Sunday will depart from the CTC at 12:13 a.m.
20 Sharon Road – Time adjustments will be implemented on weekdays and Saturdays. The first Saturday outbound trip will depart from the CTC at 7:35 a.m. and the last outbound trip will depart from the CTC at 7:05 p.m. The first Saturday inbound trip will depart from Park and Glen Eagles Roads at 8:12 a.m.
21 Double Oaks – The last outbound trip on weekdays will depart from the CTC at 12:10 a.m. The last inbound trip on weekdays will depart from Samuel St. and Statesville Ave. at 12:26 a.m. The last outbound trip on Sunday will depart from the CTC at 12:30 a.m. The last inbound trip on Sunday will depart from Samuel and Statesville at 12:48 a.m.
22 Graham Street – The first outbound trip on Saturday will depart from the CTC at 6:38 a.m. The last outbound trip on Sunday will depart from the CTC at 12:23 a.m. The last inbound trip on Sunday will depart from Graham and Ennis Streets at 11:35 p.m.
23 Shamrock Drive – The last outbound trip on Sunday will depart from the CTC at 11:52 p.m. The last inbound trip on Sunday will depart from East Town Market at 12:28 a.m.
24 Nations Ford Road – Times will be adjusted. Saturday service will cease operations at 12:51 a.m. Sunday service will cease operations at 12:05 a.m.
25 Clanton-Midtown – Service will be adjusted to connect to the LYNX Blue Line East/West Station and will no longer operate into Uptown Charlotte. Passengers who wish to continue to Uptown can transfer to the Blue Line at the East/West Station. Peak weekday trips will continue to operate to Fieldcrest and Scottsdale Roads. Saturday service will not operate to Fieldcrest. Route 25 will continue to midtown and will replace service provided by the discontinued Route 36 Midtown.
26 Oaklawn Avenue – The last outbound trip on Sunday will depart from the CTC at 12:34 a.m. The last inbound trip on Sunday will depart from the Rosa Parks Community Transit Center at 12:00 a.m.
27 Monroe Road – Trips will no longer operate on Sardis Rd. North. All trips will operate via Monroe Rd. to Matthews. The last outbound trip on Sunday will depart from the CTC at 12:10 a.m. The last inbound trip on Sunday will depart from Target in Matthews at 12:11 a.m.
29 UNCC – Service will operate between SouthPark and UNC-Charlotte with peak weekday service to University Research Park. Service will operate every 50 minutes. The last trip will end at SouthPark at 7:57 p.m.
30 Woodlawn/Scaleybark Crosstown – Service will no longer operate to the LYNX Blue Line Woodlawn Station and will be adjusted to operate to the Blue Line Scaleybark Station instead. Route 30 will operate via Scaleybark Rd. instead of Woodlawn Rd. between South Tryon St. and the Woodlawn/Scaleybark intersection. Service will be adjusted to operate every 50 minutes.
36 Midtown – Service will be discontinued. Route 12 South Blvd. will be extended to operate on the section of South Blvd. between Woodlawn Rd. and Carson Boulevard. Route 25 Clanton Park will be extended from the LYNX Blue Line East/West Station to the midtown area to continue service to Carolina Medical Center and Presbyterian Hospital.
40x Albemarle Rd. Express, 51x Idlewild Road Express, 53x Northlake Express and 62x Rea Road Express – Outbound morning and inbound afternoon trips will be adjusted. Inbound morning and outbound afternoon trips will not change.
41x Steele Creek Express, 54x University Research Park Express, 80x Concord Express, 82x Rock Hill Express,
83x Mooresville Express, 85x Gastonia Express and
88x Lincoln County Express – Afternoon trips will start on 4th St. at McDowell St. and pick up at stops along 4th (including the CTC). 41x and 54x will turn right on College, and the other routes will turn right on Poplar. All routes will turn left on Trade then merge onto I-77. Afternoon trips will not pick up along Church, Stonewall or College.
42 Carowinds – Service will be improved on days when the Carowinds theme park is open.
45x Carmel Road Express – The outbound morning trip and the inbound afternoon trip will be discontinued due to low ridership. No changes will occur to inbound morning trips and outbound afternoon trips.
48x Huntersville Express and 64x Independence Blvd. Express – Outbound morning trips and inbound afternoon trips will be discontinued due to lower ridership. Inbound morning trips and outbound afternoon trips will not change.
56 Arrowood – The last Saturday inbound trip will leave from Granite St. & Westinghouse Blvd. at 11:58 p.m. and the last outbound trip will leave from the LYNX Blue Line Arrowood Station at 12:55 a.m. The last Sunday inbound trip will leave from Rivergate at 11:24 p.m. and the last outbound trip will leave from Arrowood Station at 11:25 p.m.
57 Archdale/SouthPark – Service will be extended via Forest Pointe Dr. to Arrowood Road. Schedule adjustments will be implemented as a result.
58 Pineville – The Saturday 6:30 a.m. outbound and
6:45 a.m. inbound trips will be discontinued due to
lower ridership.
59 Scaleybark/Marsh – Service will be discontinued due to low ridership. Route 30 Woodlawn/Scaleybark Crosstown will be adjusted to provide service from the LYNX Blue Line Scaleybark Station via Scaleybark Rd. to Park Road Shopping Center and SouthPark Mall.
60 Tyvola/SouthPark – Weekday westbound service will begin at 6:03 a.m. and the last weekday westbound trip will depart from the LYNX Blue Line Tyvola Station at 10:20 p.m. Weekday eastbound service will begin at 6:10 a.m. and the last eastbound trip will leave from West Blvd. at 10:48 p.m.
77x North Meck. Express – Midday trips will operate between the CTC and the Northcross Park and Ride lot. Midday trips will not operate into Davidson. The schedule for outbound morning trips and inbound afternoon trips will be adjusted. Weekday trips inbound in the morning and outbound in the afternoon peak hours will not be adjusted. Saturday service will be discontinued due to lower ridership.
201 Garden City, 221 E. Harris Blvd./Idlewild Rd., 222 Pence Road and 232 Grier Heights – Select late night trips with lower ridership will be discontinued due to low ridership.
202 Washington Heights – Service will be discontinued due to lower ridership.
204 LaSalle – The first Saturday trip departing from Kentucky Ave. and Centre St. will leave at 7:25 a.m. The first Saturday trip departing from Sugar Creek Rd. will leave at 7:55 a.m. Other minor weekday and Saturday schedule changes will take place.
211 Hidden Valley – Time adjustments will occur. The last weekday trip will depart from Sugar Creek Rd. at 12:22 a.m. The last Saturday trip will depart from Sugar Creek at 12:28 a.m. The last Sunday trip will depart from Sugar Creek at 11:58 p.m.
234 Cityview – Service will be discontinued. Route 8 Tuckaseegee Road and Route 34 Freedom Drive will be available as alternatives.
238 Paw Creek – Service will be discontinued. Route 1 Mount Holly Road will be extended to Paw Creek on weekdays as an alternative.
Gold Rush Orange Line – Service will not operate south of Morehead Street. Frequency will be adjusted to operate every 15 minutes between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. and between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Gold Rush Red Line – Service will no longer operate into the circle at the Double-Tree Hotel, but will pick up on Trade Street in that area. Frequency of service will be adjusted to operate every 15 minutes between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. and between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Service will not operate past 6:30 p.m.
First Ward Shuttle - On March 2, 2009, the First Ward Shuttle will be discontinued. Passengers desiring to travel into Uptown Charlotte may utilize Route 3 The Plaza or the Gold Rush Red Line.
LYNX Blue Line – The LYNX Blue Line will operate every ten (10) minutes on weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sunday service will run every thirty (30) minutes early morning and late night and every twenty (20) minutes midday.
NORTH MECK VILLAGE RIDER SERVICE ADJUSTMENTS
Route 96 Davidson
Route 96 Davidson will be discontinued due to low ridership. Service to the Ada Jenkins Center will be retained by extending Route 97 Cornelius.
Route 97 Cornelius
Route 97 Cornelius will be extended from the Cornelius Town Hall to downtown Davidson and then to the Ada Jenkins Center. Route 97 will no longer operate on Northcross Drive, and it will no longer operate on the loop via Smith Circle, Carter Circle and Meridian. Schedule times will be adjusted.
Route 99 Huntersville
Route 99 Huntersville will be extended to provide bus service to Northlake Mall. Schedule times will be adjusted.
13 Nevin Road, 14 Providence Road, 34 Freedom Drive, 39 Eastway, 43 Ballantyne, 44 Fort Mill, 55 Westinghouse,
61X Arboretum Express, 65X Matthews Express, 74X Union County Express, 81X Wachovia CIC Express Shuttle, 235 Jackson Park, UNCC Shuttles – Service will not be changed.
