The fare for a single ride is $2.40 each way, but because STS drivers cannot accept cash, you must have an STS ticket or a STS Monthly Pass. You may purchase a book of ten STS tickets for only $24.00 at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center, or at the Information Center at the Charlotte Transportation Center located in uptown Charlotte; 310 East Trade Street. You may also order tickets and passes by mail by sending a check or money order, payable to the City of Charlotte, to:

If you plan to schedule more than 40 one-way trips during a month, the STS Monthly Pass that costs $96 may be a better value. Just remember, the pass cannot be returned for a refund.
