On October 6, 2008, CATS will be implementing a system-wide fare increase.  This fare increase is due to the rapid rise in the cost of fuel, which has increased by over 29% since January 2008.

 The new fares will aid CATS in keeping up with the pace of increased fuel costs and will affect all of CATS bus and light rail services.
