MATTHEWS-INDEPENDENCE POINTE PARK & RIDE

Background
The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) opened a new Park and Ride facility for Matthews-area commuters in January 2005. The Matthews-Independence Pointe Park and Ride serves as a central point of transportation for area travel as well as commuter travel from Matthews to Uptown Charlotte. It is located along Independence Pointe Parkway, just west of Independence Boulevard at Sam Newell Road (behind the Blockbuster Video Store).
