Schedule Changes

The following are planned service adjustments for CATS bus services to be implemented on OCTOBER 6, 2008

These service initiatives are in compliance with CATS' adopted FY07 Transit Program and the County Wide Services Plan.  If you have any questions pertaining to the planned service adjustments, please call 704-336-RIDE, or send an e-mail to telltransit@ci.charlotte.nc.us.

Route 1 Mt. Holly Road – Two existing inbound trips leaving from Todd Park at 6:08 p.m. and 6:28 p.m. will be combined into one trip leaving from Todd Park at 6:18 p.m.

Route 2 Ashley Park – Trip times will be adjusted on Route 2 Ashley Park.

Route 7 Beatties Ford Road – Route 7 Beatties Ford Road trips that currently operate via Sunset will be extended to Statesville Road at Harris Oaks.  Trip times will be adjusted as a result of this extension.

Route 9 Central Avenue – Minor running time adjustments will be implemented on Route 9 Central Avenue.

Route 13 Nevin Road – On Route 13 Nevin Road the Saturday night service will be improved.  Saturday night service will run later with the last outbound trip scheduled to leave from the Charlotte Transportation Center at 12:45 a.m.  In addition, Route 13 Nevin Road will be adjusted to operate via Dalton to North Tryon on its way to Uptown Charlotte.

Route 14 Providence Road – Route 14 Providence Road will be adjusted in anticipation of completed construction on Elizabeth between Kings and Charlottetown.  The bus route will be re-aligned to operate on that stretch of Elizabeth at Central Piedmont Community College.

Route 15 Providence Road – Route 15 Randolph Road will be adjusted in anticipation of completed construction on Elizabeth between Kings and Charlottetown.  The bus route will be re-aligned to operate on that stretch of Elizabeth at Central Piedmont Community College.  Minor schedule adjustments will also take place on Route 15 Randolph Road.

Route 20 Queens Road – Route 20 Queens Road will be adjusted to operate every 20 minutes during peak commute times.  Trips that currently make limited stops will be changed so that all trips make all stops.

Route 21 Double Oaks – Route 21 Double Oaks will be adjusted to operate every 30 minutes on weekdays and Saturdays, and every 60 minutes on Sundays.

Route 22 Graham Street – Route 22 Graham Street will be improved to operate every 30 minutes on weekdays, with later service to the University Research Park area.  Sunday service will be improved to operate every 30 minutes.

Route 23 Oaklawn – Minor schedule adjustments on late Saturday service will be implemented.

Route 36 Midtown – Later evening trips on Route 36 Midtown will be discontinued as a result of low ridership.

Route 39 Eastway – Route 39 Eastway will be adjusted in anticipation of completed construction on Elizabeth between Kings and Charlottetown. The bus route will be realigned to operate on that stretch of Elizabeth at Central Piedmont Community College.

Route 43 Ballantyne – The first southbound trip on weekday mornings on Route 43 Ballantyne will be adjusted to leave from the Sharon Road West Station at 6:10 a.m.

Route 51X Idlewild Express – Minor running time adjustments will be implemented on Route 51X Idlewild Express.

Route 54X University Research Park Express – Additional early morning trips will be added to the schedule of Route 54X URP Express.

Route 61X Arboretum Express – Minor trip time adjustments will be implemented on Route 61X Arboretum Express.

Route 62X Rea Road Express – Significant trips time adjustments will take place on Route 62X Rea Road Express. 

Route 77X North Meck Express – An additional morning trip will be added to the schedule for Route 77X North Meck Express.  Minor morning trip time adjustments will occur as a result.

Route 82X Rock Hill Express – An additional morning trip will be added to the schedule.

Route 221 East Harris/Idlewild – Trip times will be adjusted on Route 221 East Harris/Idlewild.

Route 232 Grier Heights – Trip times will be adjusted on Route 232 Grier Heights.

Route 234 Cityview – One morning trip and one afternoon trip will be discontinued because of low ridership.

LYNX Blue Line – Minor trip time adjustments will occur on the LYNX Blue Line.
