EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
 
ROUTES 2, 18, 40x, 45x, 51x, 61x, 62x, 64x, 65x, & 74x
 
STONEWALL STREET CLOSURE

Effective immediately and lasting approximately three weeks, Stonewall Street will be closed between Church and Tryon Streets. The closure is necessary to accommodate the installation of a 24” water line. As part of this project, the intersection of Stonewall and Church Streets will also be closed until Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at 6:00 a.m. During the closures the following detours will be in effect:
 
Route 2 from Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC):
Instead of Stonewall and Mint, outbound buses will use Tryon and Morehead to connect to Morehead at Mint.
 
Route 2 to CTC:
Instead of Mint, Stonewall & Tryon, inbound buses will use Morehead, I-277, and College to connect to College at 3rd.
 
Route 18 from CTC:
While the Stonewall & Church intersection is closed, outbound buses will travel on 3rd and Brevard to connect to Stonewall. After the intersection re-opens, outbound buses will use Church, Morehead, I-277 and College to connect to Stonewall.
 
Route 18 to CTC:
Inbound buses will travel on College instead of Tryon between Stonewall & 3rd.
 
Routes 40x, 51x, 64x, 65x, & 74x:
While the Stonewall & Church intersection is closed, buses will travel along 3rd instead of Stonewall between Church and College Streets. After the intersection re-opens, outbound buses will use Church, Morehead, I-277 and College to connect to Stonewall & College.
 
Routes 45x, 61x & 62x Inbound:
While the Stonewall & Church intersection is closed, inbound buses will use 4th & Mint instead of Church & Stonewall to connect to Graham. Outbound trips will not be affected. After the intersection re-opens, these routes will no longer be on detour.
