SPEED STREET 2009

ROUTES 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 11, 13, 16, 18, 19, 21, 26 & 34

Starting on Wednesday, May 20 at 9:30 a.m. and continuing through Sunday, May 24 at  8:00 a.m., several local bus routes will be on detour because of Speed Street 2009 activities.

Routes 11, 13 & 22: Within the Uptown area, outbound buses will use Caldwell Street and inbound buses will use Brevard Street instead of Tryon Street.

Routes 2, 16, 18 & 19: Outbound buses for Routes 2, 16 & 19 will use Church St. instead of Tryon Street. Inbound buses for routes 2, 18 & 19 will use College St. instead of Tryon Street.

Routes 1, 5, 7, 8, 21, 26 & 34: Outbound buses will use 4th Street and inbound buses will use 3rd Street instead of Trade Street.

Passengers may also go to the Charlotte Transportation Center at 300 E. Trade St. for all routes listed.

Uptown traffic congestion is expected to be significant during Speed Street activities.
