Route 42 Carowinds

Service to Carowinds Theme Park

Route 42 Carowinds currently operates three morning and three evening trips between the I-485/South Blvd LYNX Blue Line light rail station and South Point Business Park. Beginning June 14, 2009  and lasting through August 14, 2009, the Charlotte Area Transit System will also provide daily bus service between the I-485/South Blvd station and Carowinds Theme Park. Service to Carowinds will start at 8:30 AM and will continue one hour after the park closes. One-way fare will be $1.50.

Customers can access the I-485/South Blvd station directly by using the LYNX Blue Line, Route 12, and Route 58.
