St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival

ROUTES 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 11, 13, 16, 18, 19, 22, 26, & 34

Due to an uncertain forecast of inclement weather on Saturday, March 14, 2009, the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival have been move back one week to Saturday, March 21, 2009. The parade route, festival location, event hours and street closures will remain the same.

Parade
On Saturday, March 21, 2009 the annual St.Patrickšs Day parade begins on North Tryon Street between 9th & 11th Streets and runs from 9:30 a.m. until 1: 15 p.m. The parade will proceed southbound on Tryon Street to 3rd street. If you normally use a bus stop during those hours in an area affected by the parade, please go to the Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC) at 300 East Trade Street to board the bus.

Festival
On Saturday, March 21, 2009 the annual St.Patrickšs Day Festival begins on South Tryon street between 1st & 3rd streets and runs from 5:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. If you normally use a bus stop during those hours in an area affected by the parade, please go to the Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC) at 300 East Trade Street to board the bus.
