Public Meetings

Routes 12, 36, 57 & 59

The Charlotte Area Transit System will hold two public meetings to talk about potential changes to Routes 12, 36, 57 and 59.

The purpose of the public meetings is to give an overview and receive feedback on proposed CATS service changes for February 2009.  Members of the community in the service areas are encouraged to attend one of the public meetings to get an understanding of how the proposed service changes will affect them.

If the proposed route changes are adopted, Route 12 South Boulevard would be extended north on South Boulevard from Woodlawn to Carson Street.  Route 36 Midtown would be truncated.  It would not operate on South Boulevard between East Boulevard and Woodlawn.  It would not go into the Woodlawn Station, but instead would connect to the LYNX Blue Line at the East/West Station.

If the proposal is adopted, Route 57 Archdale would be extended from Nations Ford to Arrowood via Forest  Point Boulevard.

If the proposal is adopted, Route 59 Scaleybark/Marsh would no longer operate on Marsh.  It would operate  on Scaleybark only, and service on Marsh would  be discontinued.

Meetings are scheduled for:
