Weekend Closures

Multiple street closures will affect CATS routes from Friday, November 7, 2008 until Monday, November 11, 2008.

Veteran’s Day Parade and East Trade Street Closure
Routes 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 25, 26, 34, 77x & Gold Rush Red Line

On Saturday, November 8, 2008 the annual Veteran’s Day Parade begins at 11:00 AM and will last until 1:00 PM. The parade route proceeds on N. Tryon Street from 11th Street, turns left on 3rd Street and ends at Marshall Park (Between Davidson and McDowell Streets).

East Trade Street between College and Brevard Streets will close at 10:00 PM on Friday, November 7th, and will reopen by 5:00 AM on Monday, November 10th.

Passengers wishing to board or alight bus routes affected by these closures are encouraged to do so at the Charlotte Transportation Center, located at 310 East Trade Street.

South Church Street Closure
Route 18

South Church Street between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Stonewall Street will close at 6:00 am on Saturday, November 8, 2008 and will reopen on Monday, November 10th by 6:00 am.

Passengers wishing to board or alight bus routes affected by this closure are encouraged to do so at the Charlotte Transportation Center, located at 310 East Trade Street or near the intersections of Stonewall & College Streets or 4th & Church Streets.

Central Avenue Closure
Routes 9 & 17

Central Avenue between Kilborne and Rosehaven Drives will close nightly from 6:00 PM until 6:00 AM on Friday, November 7th, Saturday, November 8th and Sunday, November 9th for a sewer repair.

Passengers wishing to board or alight Route 9 are encouraged to do so along Central Avenue outside of the affected area. Passengers wishing to board or alight Route 17 are encouraged to do so along Sharon Amity south of Central Avenue.
