ROUTES 6, 18, 19, and 25
YMCA 5K AND HALF MARATHON
On Saturday, November 7, 2009 DOWD YMCA 5k and half marathon will stage on Caldwell Street by the YMCA at 5:30 am. The race will begin at 7:30 am until 11:00 am. The route includes Morehead St, Queens Rd, Providence Rd, Fairview Rd, Columbine Cr., Sumac Rd, Fairview Rd, Colony Rd, Roswell Ave, Queens Rd east, Dilworth Rd, Mt. Vernon, Lexington Ave, Euclid Ave and Caldwell St. All buses follow the detour below and wait for break if necessary.
Route 6 from Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC):
Outbound buses will use the regular route to Kings Dr & Morehead Street, right Morehead St (board & deboard passengers near the intersection of Harding Pl.), continues straight on Morehead St to Kenilworth Ave, right on Kenilworth Ave at traffic light, Pearl Park Way 3rd street on right at traffic light, right on Kings Dr at traffic light, left on Baldwin Ave (2nd street on left at kings court shopping center) and resume the regular route.
Route 18 from Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC):
Outbound buses will use the regular route to Stonewall & Caldwell Streets, right on Caldwell Street at traffic light & continue straight onto South Blvd, left on East Blvd and resume the regular route.
Route 19 from Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC):
Outbound buses will use the regular route to South Tryon & Morehead Streets, continue straight on South Tryon Street to Carson Blvd, left on Carson blvd, right on South Blvd, left on East Blvd and resume the regular route.
Route 6 to Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC):
Inbound buses from Baxter & Cherry Streets, right on king Dr. and resume the regular route.
Route 18 to Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC):
Inbound buses will use the regular route to Runneymede & Selwyn Ave continue straight on Runnymede Ln onto Woodlawn Rd, right Park Rd 2nd traffic light & continue straight onto Scott Ave to Carolina Medical Center, left on Romany Rd at Carolina Medical Center, right on East Blvd & continue straight to South Blvd, right on South Blvd at traffic light / shell gas station, left on Stonewall St, right on College Steet and resume the regular route.
Route 19 to Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC):
Inbound buses will use the regular route to East Blvd & Euclid Ave continue straight on East Blvd to South Blvd, right on South Blvd 1st traffic light / shell gas station, left on Stonewall Steet, right on College St and resume the regular route.
Route 25 Clanton Park:
Westbound the route will detour between the Midtown Target and the East/West Station by using Stonewall to South Blvd to East Blvd.
Eastbound the route will detour between the East/West Station and theMidtown Target by using South Blvd/Caldwell to Stonewall to Charlottetowne Avenue.
