JCSU HOMECOMING PARADE
ROUTES 7 & 204
On Saturday, October 17, 2009, Beatties Ford Rd. will close between Lasalle and Dixon Streets from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. The closure is necessary to accommodate the Johnson C. Smith University Homecoming Parade. The following detours will be in effect:
Route 7
From Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC):
Outbound buses will use the regular route to Beatties Ford Rd. & Bruns Ave., turn right on Bruns, right on 5th St., merge onto I-77 North, exit and turn left onto Lasalle St., turn right on Custer St., left on Catherine Simmons Ave., right on Beatties Ford Rd. and resume the regular route.
To CTC:
Inbound buses will use the regular route to Beatties Ford Rd. and Catherine Simmons Ave., turn left on Catherine Simmons Ave., right on Custer St., left on Lasalle St., merge onto I-77 South, exit and turn right on 5th St., turn left on Bruns Ave., left on Trader St. and continue to the CTC.
Route 204
From Centre St. & Kentucky Ave.:
Shuttles will use the regular route to Montana Ave. & English Dr., continue on Montana, turn right on Beatties Ford Rd., left on Catherine Simmons Ave., right on Custer St., left on Lasalle Street and resume the regular route.
From Tryon St. & Sugar Creek Library:
Shuttles will use the regular route to Lasalle and Custer Streets, turn right on Custer, left on Catherine Simmons Ave., right on Beatties Ford Rd., left on Montana Ave., continue onto Ingle Street and resume the regular route.
