THE RACE FOR THE CURE & THE EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS PROCESSION

Routes 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 13, 16, 18, 19, 21, 25, 26, 34 & 77x

On Saturday, October 4, 2008, two events will take place in the Uptown area: The Race for the Cure and the Eucharistic Congress Procession.

The Race for the Cure will assemble on Trade St. between Cedar St. & Irwin Ave. at 5:00 a.m. The racecourse proceeds east on Trade St., turns right on Church St., right on 4th St., right on Summit Ave., left on 4th St., right on Grandin Rd., left on Morehead St., left on Church, left on Trade and continues to the finish line at John son & Wales Way.

The Diocese of Charlotte Eucharistic Congress Procession will take place form 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. To accommodate this event, Tryon, 3rd, College & Stonewall Streets will close in the vicinity of the Uptown Convention Center.

CATS customers wishing to board or alight buses within the Uptown area should do so at the Charlotte Transportation Center, located at 310 E. Trade Street.
