Schedule Changes

The following are planned service adjustments for CATS bus services to be implemented on:

JUNE 2, 2008  

Route 3 The Plaza – The departure time of the last two Saturday inbound trips will be adjusted slightly to arrive at the Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC) earlier.

Route 7 Beatties Ford Road – Minor schedule adjustments will be instituted on the weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedules to improve on-time performance. 

Route 8 Tuckaseegee Road – The last Sunday inbound trip will be discontinued due to low ridership.

Route 9 Central Avenue – The departure time of the last weekday and Sunday inbound trip will be adjusted slightly to arrive at the CTC earlier. 

Route 10 West Boulevard – The departure time of the 12:42 a.m. inbound trip on Saturdays will be adjusted slightly to arrive at the CTC earlier.

Route 12 South Boulevard – The weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedules will be adjusted to provide better connections to the LYNX Blue Line light rail service.

Route 13 Nevin Road – The departure time of the last weekday, Saturday and Sunday inbound trip will be adjusted slightly to arrive at the CTC earlier. 

Route 14 Providence Road – The first weekday trip from the Arboretum will be adjusted earlier to accommodate better connections at the CTC. The weekday evening trips will be adjusted from a 45 minute frequency to a 35 minute frequency.

Route 15 Randolph Road – Minor schedule adjustments will be instituted on weekdays to improve on-time performance.

Route 16 South Tryon – The departure time of the last Saturday and Sunday inbound trip leaving Pressley and Rosethorn will be adjusted earlier.       

Route 22 Graham Street – The departure time of the last weekday inbound trip will be adjusted slightly to arrive at the CTC earlier.

Route 23 Shamrock Drive – The departure time of the last weekday and Sunday inbound trip will be adjusted slightly to arrive at the CTC earlier.

Route 24 Nations Ford Road – The Saturday and Sunday schedules will be adjusted to provide better connections to the LYNX Blue Line light rail service.

Route 27 Monroe Road – The departure time of the last Saturday inbound trip will be adjusted slightly to arrive at the CTC earlier.

Route 29 UNCC/SouthPark – The departure time of the last two weekday inbound trips will be adjusted slightly to arrive at the SouthPark Community Transit Center earlier.

Route 30 Woodlawn Crosstown – The departure time of the last three weekday and last Saturday inbound trips will be adjusted slightly to arrive at the Rosa Parks Community Transit Center earlier.

Route 34 Freedom Drive – The departure time of the last two weekday inbound trips will be adjusted slightly to arrive at the CTC earlier.

Route 36 Midtown – The weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedules will be adjusted to provide better connections to the LYNX Blue Line light rail service.

Route 42 Carowinds Blvd – The routing for the Southpoint Business Park trips will be modified to serve Polk Street and Hwy 51 to Carowinds Boulevard. These trips will no longer utilize I-485 an I-77 to Carowinds Boulevard. This change will provide better access to businesses along Hwy 51 in Pineville.

Route 43 Ballantyne – The Ballantyne timepoint will be moved from Ballantyne Corporate Place and Ballantyne Commons Parkway (near Ballantyne Resort) to John J Delaney and Ballantyne Commons Parkway.

Route 51x Idlewild Road Express – The Route 51x will be extended along Idlewild Road to Margaret Wallace Road. Service on Valley Grove Road and Wiseman Drive will no longer be provided.

Route 56 Arrowood – An early morning inbound weekday trip will be extended to the Rivergate Shopping Center.  The Saturday and Sunday schedule will be adjusted to provide better connections to the LYNX Blue Line light rail service.         

Route 57 Archdale/SouthPark – The departure time of the last two weekday trips leaving Farmhurst & Nations Ford Road will be adjusted to depart earlier and terminate at the LYNX Blue Line Archdale Station.

Route 58 Pineville – The weekday schedule will be adjusted to provide better connections to the LYNX Blue Line light rail service.         

Route 60 Tyvola/SouthPark – Two morning and afternoon trips will be extended to the LakePointe Corporate Center at Tyvola Road and Perimeter Pointe Parkway. Beam Road trip times have been adjusted to coordinate with the new LakePointe Corporate Center trips. Minor schedule adjustments will be instituted on the Saturday schedule.

Route 62x Rea Road Express – The 5:38 pm reverse commute trip departing St. Matthews Church for the CTC will be discontinued due to low ridership.

Route 74x Union County Express – Minor schedule adjustments will be instituted on weekdays to improve on-time performance.

Route 80x Concord Express – One additional morning and afternoon trips will be added to accommodate increasing passenger loads.

Route 201 Garden City – The 1:45 am trip departing the Rosa Parks Community Transit Center will be discontinued due to low ridership.

Route 202 Washington Heights – The last trip leaving the Rosa Parks will be adjusted to depart slightly earlier.

Route 204 LaSalle – The routing will be changed to access the Sugar Creek Service Center from Glory Road. The Route 204 will no longer extend to Sugar Creek Road.

Route 221 E. Harris-Idlewild Rd. – Minor schedule adjustments will be instituted on the weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedule to improve on-time performance.

Route 232 Grier Heights – Minor schedule adjustments will be instituted on the weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedule to improve on-time performance.

LYNX Blue Line – Minor schedule adjustments will be made to the weekday schedule. The Saturday and Sunday schedules will be improved to a 15-minute frequency in the middle of the day.
