Speed Street Detours

Gold Rush Red Line, Orange Line & First Ward Shuttle

On Wednesday, May 21, 2008 through Friday, May 23, 2008 several express routes will detour for Speed Street activities in Uptown Charlotte. 

Red Line
Starting on Wednesday, May 21 after 9:30 a.m. the Red Line will not operate on Trade Street between Church and College.  Eastbound trips will use 3rd Street between Church and College, and westbound trips will use 4th between College and Poplar. 

Orange Line
Starting on Wednesday, May 21 after 9:30 a.m. the Orange Line will not use Tryon between 3rd Street and 10th Street.  Northbound trips will use College between 3rd and 10th, and southbound trips will use Church between 10th and 3rd.

First Ward Shuttle
Starting on Wednesday, May 21 in the afternoon the First Ward Shuttle start in service on 4th at Tryon, and turn right on Poplar, right on 9th, left on College and resume the regular route to 11th Street.

Shuttles will return to regular routes on Monday, May 26th.
