Proposed Route 12 & 36 Changes

Open House Public Meeting

On Tuesday, April 15, 2008 the Charlotte Area Transit System will hold a public meeting to discuss proposed adjustments to service on Route 12 and 36.  If these changes are adopted, the Route 12 would be extended to the Lynx Blue Line East/West Station and the Route 36 would operate between the Lynx Blue Line East/West Station and Hawthorn & 4th Street via its current routing.  The weekday frequency on Route 12 between the I-485 Station and the Woodlawn Station would remain at every 20 minutes in rush hour and every 30 minutes in the midday and evening service between the Woodlawn Station and the East/West Station would be every 40 minutes in the peak and every 60 minutes in the midday and evening.  The new Route 36 would operate every 40 minutes in the rush hour and every 60 minutes in the midday and evening.  The weekend frequency for both the Route 12 and 36 would be adjusted slightly from the current schedule.
