The following are planned service adjustments for CATS bus services to be implemented on

FEBRUARY 25, 2008 

Route 4 Country Club – The last weeknight inbound trip will be adjusted slightly so that it will arrive at the CTC before 1:30 am allowing for better connections at the CTC.

Route 8 Tuckaseegee Road – The schedule will be adjusted so that all outbound trips from the CTC will have an associated inbound trip that comes back to the CTC.

Route 10 West Boulevard – Notes will be added to the timetable to indicate which trips connect to Route 60 Tyvola/SouthPark.

Route 11 North Tryon – The weekday morning schedule times will be adjusted slightly in order to incorporate an additional morning inbound trip from UNCC to the CTC to accommodate increasing passenger loads.

Route 12 South Boulevard – The weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedule will be adjusted to provide better connections to the LYNX Blue Line light rail service.  

Route 14 Providence Road – The schedule will be modified to incorporate the Elizabeth Avenue detour route into the regular schedule.  The old routing will resume upon completion of the Elizabeth Avenue streetscape project.

Route 15 Randolph Road – The schedule will be modified to incorporate the Elizabeth Avenue detour into the regular schedule.  The old routing will resume upon completion of the Elizabeth Avenue streetscape project.

Route 16 South Tryon – The 12:02 am and 1:02 am weekday late night trips leaving the CTC will be extended to the LYNX Blue Line Tyvola Station.   

Route 22 Graham Street – An additional morning and evening trip will be extended to the Prosperity Creek apartments. 

Route 24 Nations Ford Road – The weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedule will be adjusted to provide better connections to the LYNX Blue Line light rail service. 

Route 25 Clanton Park – The schedule will be modified to add in the Crestview loop in the outbound direction.  The first morning outbound trip will begin at the Crestview timepoint.

Route 29 UNCC/SouthPark – The early morning trips leaving SouthPark will be adjusted slightly.   

Route 36 Midtown – The weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedule will be adjusted to provide better connections to the LYNX Blue Line light rail service.           

Route 39 Eastway – The schedule will be modified to incorporate the Elizabeth Avenue detour into the regular schedule.  The old routing will resume upon completion of the Elizabeth Avenue streetscape project. 

Route 40x Albemarle Road Express – The morning pick-up times on the Lawyers Road and Pence Road branches of the Route 40x will be adjusted earlier to better reflect the pick-up times prior to the November service change.           

Route 42 Carowinds Blvd – An additional evening trip will be added to leave from Southpoint at 5:20 pm.           

Route 43 Ballantyne – The weekday schedule will be adjusted to provide better connections with the LYNX Blue Line.  Also, the route will be extended along Ballantyne Corporate Place and Ballantyne Commons Parkway to Johnston Road.  This change will provide direct service to the Ballantyne Resort as well as the Betsill and Sherrill Buildings.  Service will no longer be provided along Brixham Hill Drive. 

Route 44 Fort Mill – A morning inbound trip from Wells Fargo to the Arrowood Station will be added.           

Route 45x Carmel Road Express – A morning outbound and an afternoon inbound reverse commute trip will be added to service customers who work along Carmel Road.  

Route 54x University Research Park Express – Two additional morning and afternoon trips will be added to accommodate increasing passenger loads. 

Route 55 Westinghouse – The weekday schedule will be adjusted to provide better connections with the LYNX Blue Line.  Two additional morning outbound trips will be added to address the demand to get to the Westlake Business Park.  Late night service will be added to assist customers working second and third shifts. 

Route 56 Arrowood – The weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedule will be adjusted to provide better connections to the LYNX Blue Line light rail service. 

Route 57 Archdale/SouthPark – The weekday and Saturday schedule will be adjusted to provide better connections to the LYNX Blue Line light rail service. 

Route 58 Pineville – The weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedule will be adjusted to provide better connections to the LYNX Blue Line light rail service. 

Route 59 Scaleybark/Marsh – The weekday schedule will be adjusted to provide better connections to the LYNX Blue Line light rail service. 

Route 60 Tyvola/SouthPark – Notes will be added to the timetable to indicate which trips connect to Route 10 West Boulevard.   

Route 61x Arboretum Express – An additional morning and afternoon trip will be added to accommodate increasing passenger loads.  The current morning and afternoon pick-up times will be adjusted slightly to accommodate the additional trip. 

Route 62x Rea Road Express – An additional morning and afternoon trip will be added to accommodate increasing passenger loads.  The current morning and afternoon pick-up times will be adjusted slightly to accommodate the additional trip.        

Route 77x North Mecklenburg Express – The early morning pick-up times will be adjusted slightly to better reflect the pick-up times prior to the November service change.

Route 81x Wachovia CIC Express Shuttle – Service to the Verbatim Office Building will be discontinued.             

Route 82x Rock Hill Express – The 5:10 am outbound reverse commute trip leaving the LYNX Blue Line Scaleybark Station will be discontinued.           

Route 85x Gastonia Express – The afternoon pick-up times will be adjusted five minutes earlier in Uptown Charlotte to better reflect the pick-up times prior to the November service change.

Route 88x Lincoln County Express – Service will begin to a new park and ride lot located at the Wal-Mart on Hwy 73 at new Hwy 16 in Lowesville, NC. Service will still be provided to the Waterside Crossing park and ride lot. However, the morning pick-up times at this location will be two (2) minutes earlier than the current schedule. 

Route 222 Pence Road – Minor schedule adjustments will be made to the weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedule in the inbound direction from Target to Eastland Mall.  

Route 235 Jackson Park – Two additional late night trips will be added to provide service until 10:00 pm to both the Amay James Center and Freedom Mall. 

LYNX Blue Line – The two weekday morning peak trips leaving I-485 Station (9:07 am and 9:22 am) that currently terminate at the Scaleybark Station will be extended to the 7th Street Station and the two afternoon peak trips leaving the 7th Street Station (6:07 pm and 6:22 pm) that terminate at the New Bern Station will be extended to the I-485 Station.  The 1:00 am trips leaving the 7th Street Station on weekdays and Saturdays will be extended all the way to the I-485 Station.  An additional early morning trip on Sundays will be added between the New Bern Station and the 7th Street Station.
