EXTENDED SERVICE DURING CIAA BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

Charlotte will once again be host to the CIAA Tournament that gets underway on Monday, February 25th and continues through Saturday, March 1st. CATS will offer additional Gold Rush service to help visitors move safely and efficiently through Center City.

CATS will be extending the hours of operation for the Orange and Red Line Gold Rush Circulator Services, which run through Center City until midnight each night during the week of February 25th to March 1st.  The Red Line will deviate off of its regular route after 6:30 p.m. to serve the Blake Hotel.  It will operate from Gateway Village via Trade Street, Davidson Street, E. Martin Luther King Blvd., McDowell Street, 4th Street and continue its regular route.  

CATS will also offer the CIAA Shuttle, which will operate for the week of the CIAA Basketball Tournament and connect fans to the Charlotte Convention Center, Afro-American Cultural Center, Levine Museum of the New South, ImaginOn and several hotels and restaurants.  The shuttle will operate via College Street, 7th Street, McDowell Street and E. Martin Luther King Blvd. from 9:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. During the tournament.
