ROUTES 10, 12, 24 & ARROWOOD SHUTTLE

BUS/RAIL INTEGRATION

On November 26, 2007, CATS will be changing several existing bus routes and introducing new bus service to connect to the LYNX Blue Line light rail service.  These changes will assist customers in making direct connections and improve travel time.  Please review the following descriptions to learn about these service changes:

Arrowood Shuttle – Arrowood shuttle service will be discontinued. Passengers normally traveling to various businesses within the Arrowood Shuttle service area can utilize any of the following new routes: Route 42 Carowinds Boulevard, Route 55 Westinghouse & Route 56 Arrowood.

Route 10 West Boulevard – Service will be streamlined along West Blvd. and end at Boulevard Homes. Service to Capital Dr. will be discontinued. Service on Mint St. will be provided by Route 25 Clanton Road. Service to Yorkmont Rd., Beam Rd., and South Stream Dr. will be provided by new Route 60 Tyvola/SouthPark. Service to Amay James and Reid Park will be provided by Route 25. Service to Old Steele Creek will be provided by Route 235 Jackson Park and Route 60 Tyvola/SouthPark.  Kenhill and Seymour will be served by Route 235 Jackson Park. Route 10 West Boulevard will provide service to the East/West Boulevard LYNX station. Route 10 will operate every 15 minutes during rush hour, 15 minutes during non-peak hours, Monday – Friday, and every 30 minutes on Saturday and Sunday.

Route 12 South Boulevard – Route 12 will no longer operate into Uptown. Service will be provided along South Blvd. between the I-485 LYNX Blue Line station and the Woodlawn Road LYNX Blue Line station. Service on South Blvd. between Woodlawn Rd. and East Blvd. and service to Carolina Place Mall will be provided by Route 36 Midtown & Route 58 Pineville. Route 12 will run every 20 minutes during rush hour and every 30 minutes during non-peak hours, Monday – Friday.  It will run every 40 minutes Saturday
and Sunday.

Route 24 Nations Ford Road – Route 24 Windsong Trails will be renamed Route 24 Nations Ford Road. Route 24 Nations Ford Road will not serve Uptown. Connects Nations Ford Road to the Woodlawn Road LYNX Blue Line station and the Arrowood Road LYNX Blue Line station.  Service between Arrowood Rd. and Westinghouse Blvd. will be available with new Route 56 Arrowood. Service will operate every 20 minutes during rush hour, every 30 minutes during non-peak hours Monday – Friday, and every 40 minutes Saturday and Sunday. Fare is $1.30 one way.
