ROUTES 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 10, 13, 16, 18, 19, 21, 25, 26, 34 & 77x
MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. PARADE
On Saturday, January 19, 2008 the Martin Luther King, Jr. parade begins on N. Tryon Street at 11 a.m. and lasts until 1:30 p.m. The parade will proceed southbound on Tryon, turn left on 3rd Street, ending at Marshall Park. The following detours will be in effect:
Routes 2, 5, 16, 19 & 25 from Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC):
Outbound buses for all routes will turn right on 4th, College, Trade, McDowell and Stonewall Streets. Routes 5 & 25 will turn left on Mint St. and resume the regular routes. Routes 16 & 19 will turn left on Tryon and resume the regular routes. Route 2 will turn left on Tryon, right on Morehead and resume the regular route.
Routes 1, 7, 8, 10, 13, 21, 26, 34, 77x from CTC:
Outbound buses for routes 8, 13, 21, 26, 34 & 77x will turn right on 4th Street. Routes 1 & 7 will follow the regular routes to Trade & College Streets. All routes will turn right on College left on 12th St. and left on Graham Street. Routes 13, 21 & 26 will resume the regular routes. Routes 1, 7, 8, 34 & 77x will turn right on Trade and resume the regular routes.
Route 10 from CTC:
Outbound buses will turn right on Trade, McDowell and Stonewall Streets, turn left on South Boulevard and resume the regular route.
Routes 1, 7, 8, 13, 21, 26, 34 & 77x to CTC:
Inbound buses will use the regular routes to Trade & Church Streets, turn right on Church, left on Stonewall, McDowell and 4th Streets and proceed to the CTC.
Routes 2, 5, 25, 16 & 19 to CTC:
Inbound buses for route 2 will follow the regular route to Morehead & Mint Streets, continue on Morehead, merge onto I-277 and exit onto College Street. Inbound buses for Route 19 will follow the regular route to Morehead & College Streets and turn right on College. Routes 5, 16 & 25 will follow the regular routes to Stonewall Street. All routes will turn right on Stonewall, left on McDowell and 4th Streets and proceed to the CTC.
Route 10 to CTC:
Route 10 will follow the regular route to South Boulevard and I-277, merge onto I-277, exit onto 4th street and proceed to the CTC.
Route 18 to CTC:
Route 18 will follow the regular route to McDowell & Stonewall Streets, continue on McDowell, turn left on 4th street and proceed to the CTC.
