CATS SERVICE ADJUSTMENTS GO INTO EFFECT AUGUST 24
Charlotte, NC, August 20, 2009 - Beginning Monday, August 24, the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will make minor adjustments to several bus routes. “CATS strives to offer the best transportation choices for residents of Charlotte-Mecklenburg and surrounding counties,” said Larry Kopf, Interim Operations Manager for CATS. “We continually look for ways to improve travel times and connectivity for customers.” Some of the upcoming changes include:
24 Nations Ford – Weekday trip times will be adjusted on Route 24 Nations Ford slightly to improve connections to the LYNX Blue Line.
29 UNCC/SouthPark – Route 29 UNCC/SouthPark will be improved to every 45 minutes on weekdays.
30 Woodlawn Crosstown – Route 30 Woodlawn Crosstown will be improved to every 45 minutes on weekdays.
43 Ballantyne – Weekday trip times will be adjusted on Route 43 Ballantyne slightly to improve connections to the LYNX Blue Line.
88X Lincoln County Express – Service on route 88X Lincoln County Express will be adjusted to three trips in the morning and three trips in the afternoon. Trips times will be adjusted.
UNCC Shuttle Service – Route 49 Niner will no longer operate, and the alignment and schedules of other shuttles on campus will be adjusted.
