CATS SEEKS INPUT FROM PUBLIC ON SEVERAL CHARLOTTE BUS ROUTES
Charlotte, N.C., April 25, 2008 - The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will hold three public meetings next week to get the community’s input on proposed changes to several routes. The routes include Route 1 Mount Holly Road, Route 8 Tuckaseegee Road, Route 34 Freedom Drive, Route 234 Cityview and Route 235 Jackson Park.
The purpose of these meetings is to gather information and feedback from the community on how CATS can enhance service in the neighborhoods served by these routes. “The Charlotte region is growing at a rapid pace and we have to continuously make improvements and adjustments to our services to meet the community’s ever-changing commuting needs,” said Larry Kopf, CATS’ Chief Operations Planning Officer. “It’s important for residents, especially CATS riders, to participate so we can better serve them.”
Members of the community are encouraged to attend the public meetings to share comments on how improvements can be made. The meeting times and dates are as follows:
