CAREERS WITH CATS BUS OPERATIONS DIVISION (BOD)
 
Bus Operators benefits include:

Applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • At least 23 years of age.
  • Must possess a Commercial "A" or "B" CDL with Passenger endorsement or a Commercial "A" or "B" CDL permit with Passenger endorsement.
  • Documented 7 year driving history from DMV.
  • A Social Security Card.
  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Birth Certificate
  • All candidates must attend a 3 hour video–based assessment.
After completing an application and producing proof of appropriate CDL, the assessment is scheduled through CATS Bus Operations Division Human Resources Department at 704/336-4060.
 
Training classes are held at 3145 S. Tryon St.  Applicants who have been selected will be extended an Offer of Hire by Transit Management of Charlotte, and will attend a 7 week training class.  All applicants must meet or exceed these employment qualifications and standards, which include, but are not limited to:
  • Criminal history check
  • Dept. of Transportation Drug & Alcohol screening
  • Dept. of Transportation Physical Examination
  • Employment history verification
