Hold for Pick-Up Checks - Mecklenburg County Finance Department has advised us that they will no longer allow checks to be held for pick up. All checks to contract providers and vendors will be mailed. It is imperative that requests for payment, including invoices, claims submission and any required backup documentation, be sent to AMH Financial Services with sufficient time (usually 3 weeks) to process the payment and mail the check. Please note that this change is effective immediately. If you have any questions contact your AMH Financial Services Representative.

State Medicaid Rate for Community Support - Officials with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services announced a final Medicaid rate to cover the reimbursement of Community Support (CS) services for people with mental health and substance abuse issues. The rate, $51.28 per hour, was based on a cost analysis of services. It is effective retroactive to April 5. For more information on this and other state news, visit: http://www.dhhs.state.nc.us/mhddsas/.

Billing Deadline for Contracted Services - To ensure that the LME receives all of your FY08 billings in a timely manner and to meet County and IPRS timely filing deadlines, please make sure that all claims are submitted by July 6, 2008. This is done in accordance with your contract, Article 5.6 which states the following: "Provider shall submit an invoice to the Area Authority/County Program within sixty (60) days of the date of service or sooner if required by IPRS timely filing deadlines. If you have questions regarding billing or payments, please contact your assigned financial manager for assistance.

FY08 Provider Connect Seats - The first Provider Connect Seat is free, with a charge of $198.00 for each additional seat.
