The 2007 Consumer Satisfaction Survey Report documents results of our 2007 survey of consumer satisfaction with providers offering mental heatlh services in Mecklenburg County.
Provider Performance Report
The Provider Performance Report which has been developed by the Mecklenburg Consumer and Family Advisory Committee, has received the support and collaboration of the Mecklenburg Provider Council's Executive Board and is now ready for implementation. The primary purpose of the report is to assist consumers and families in making informed choices about providers.
The Performance Report is a four star rating system that rates each provider within the LME's community of providers; it includes 20 standards across the categories of:
- provider actively pursues quality in providing services,
- provider participates in local efforts to improve quality,
- provider demonstrates focus on the consumer's expressed goals, strengths, and needs, and
- provider demonstrates focus on consumer and family involvement.
Beginning this month, Service Analysts with the LME will begin to conduct desk reviews to determine the star rating for each provider. In addition the Mecklenburg Consumer and Family Advisory Committee is in the process of developing a communication plan to assist consumers and family members in how to use the star rating system as a method to obtain additional information in their selection of a provider.
