Many of the problems we face everyday, such as pet overpopulation and some animal cruelty cases are not due to any willful intent on the part of the owner. They are the result of a lack of knowledge about responsible pet ownership. In an effort to change this, we offer a variety of educational programs for various groups such as school children, Boy/Girl Scouts and adults. Topics we discuss include:
- Bite Prevention
- Pet Care
- Animal Control Ordinances
- Importance of Spaying/Neutering Pets
- Tours of the Animal Shelter
If you wish to schedule a humane education program for your classroom or civic group, please contact Melissa Knicelyberry by phone at 704-336-3627 or e-mail her at mknicelyberry@cmpd.org
