Dear Dr. Blinn:
Attached is our story. We rescued Malcolm in late Dec. 2006 and Honey the following Dec.
We first came to Animal Control after losing our 17 year old dachshund to see a Boxer pup we had viewed online. That pup came down with kennel cough that day and was in the infirmary and unavailable.

Malcolm was his kennel mate. He was an older dog (about 18 mos) rather than a puppy. We had wanted a puppy because we wanted to name our new addition ourselves but since this poor Boxer had been picked up in a field near a Vet clinic, Animal Control had no history and no name. We decided to take him home but since he needed to be neutered we had to wait until the next day. (Interesting fact, perhaps, Gary de Lisser was a personal friend, she would have been so pleased that her clinic provided services to Malcolm and we rescued a dog).
When we came back the following year to see if Honey was a fit for Malcolm, she already had a name which we thought she was probably used to so we just kept it. I don't have their Animal Control records handy at the moment and our story is not a recent one, but I have never met anyone else who took their dog speed dating at Animal Control!
