My husband and I adopted Dozer in May 2008. We had found him at Hornet's Nest Park at only 3 months old and soaked to the bone because it had just finished thunder storming and his previous owners had just left him there. We took him home that night and fed him, dried him, and gave him a good place to sleep. We took him to animal control the next evening and were told that he was just adopted a few weeks earlier from the animal control shelter! He had been found on the streets as a tiny puppy before this. Well, Animal Control called the owners who insisted they wanted Dozer (his name was Silver at the time), but 10 days later, I got a call back saying they never showed.

I knew Dozer would have a hard time being adopted because he seemed aggressive to new people (being abandoned twice already in his short life) so I did my good deed and rescued him. I have to say, he's the best dog in the whole world! We have gotten him over his fear of new people, and he now lives only to please us. He is so smart and now a happy-go-lucky 8 month old puppy, and did I mention he's already 65lbs? He gets along with our 1.5yr old boxer beautifully, and I honestly don't know how we went along without him! He definitely completes our "pack"! Thanks for everything!
