Separate Your Collectibles
It is very important to keep collectible items in distinct separate piles at the pick-up location. Please separate regular garbage from bulky items (appliances and tires are considered special bulky items and need to be in an additional pile on their own). Items NOT Picked Up by Solid Waste

Yard Waste and Recyclables
Please note that yard waste and recyclables will NOT be picked up at the clean-up location but residents can place yard waste or recyclables at a private address to be picked up during their neighborhood’s regularly scheduled collection day.
 
Hazardous Materials
Hazardous materials such as paint and chemicals will NOT be picked up. Click here to find out how to properly dispose of hazardous materials.
 
Note: You can bring flammable liquids/oils, gas, motor oil, propane tanks, paint/thinners/strippers, household batteries, fluorescent light bulbs and lead acid batteries to your local Mecklenburg County Full Service Recycling  Drop Off Centers.
