Environmental project type example - Community GardenEnergy and Sustainability projects help neighborhoods curb energy consumption and protect natural environments. Energy and sustainability initiatives build partnerships and strengthen communities by focusing equal emphasis on people, economics and the environment. The goal of these initiatives is to create stronger, more sustainable communities by making homes and structures more efficient, lowering energy and water use and thereby reducing costs, providing transit alternatives, reducing, reusing and recycling resources and encouraging healthy lifestyles to improve our quality of life.
