The Southeast Corridor Silver Line will link Southeast Charlotte and Matthews to the Uptown area. In addition to easy access Uptown, this line will provide access to Ovens Auditorium, Bojangles' Coliseum, Central Piedmont Community College's (CPCC) Central and Levine campuses, and Presbyterian Hospital Matthews.

Proposed Interchanges
CATS and the NCDOT agreed to jointly plan and design the highway and transit projects along Independence Boulevard. This effort will provide the needed improvements to the highway and offer alternate transit options to commuters.
