Schedule Change – February 4, 2013

The following are the planned service adjustments for CATS services to be implemented on February 4, 2013.

11 North Tryon

Weekday schedule will be modified to improve schedule reliability.

17 Commonwealth Avenue

Two late night trips will be modified to serve the Matthews-Independence Pointe Park and Ride Lot.

22 Graham Street

Minor schedule changes designed to improve schedule reliability will occur.

34 Freedom Drive

One morning and one evening trip will be added between the Charlotte  Transportation Center and Ashley Rd/Alleghany Rd.

40X Albemarle Road Express

Minor schedule adjustments to improve schedule reliability.

55 Westinghouse Blvd

One morning and one evening trip will be added to accommodate passenger loads. The trips will provide direct service between the LYNX Sharon Road West Station and the Westlake Business Park.

61X Arboretum Express

Minor schedule adjustments to improve schedule reliability will occur.  Service between the Charlotte
Transportation Center and Ashley Rd/Alleghany Rd will be discontinued. Passengers traveling to this area may use Route 34 Freedom Dr.

82X Rock Hill Express

Service will be modified to serve the relocated White Street Park and Ride located at 138 White Street.

94 Mint Hill/Matthews Shuttle

Running time will be adjusted to improve schedule reliability.

221 East Harris/Idlewild

Service will be extended to serve the Wal-Mart located off Independence Blvd and Pierson Dr.

232 Grier Heights

Service to Wal-Mart will be discontinued to provide more direct service between Grier Heights and the Eastland Community Transit Center. Passengers desiring to access Wal-Mart may utilize the Route 221 East Harris/Idlewild.

Village Riders:

97 Cornelius – Service in Downtown Cornelius and Downtown Davidson will remain the same and will continue along Catawba Avenue to Sam Furr Road.  The modified service will turn right on Holly Point Dr, right on Statesville Rd, right on Sam Furr Rd, right on Old Statesville Rd, right on Gilead Rd, and right on Statesville Rd to the Huntersville Gateway Park and Ride. Service along Ramah Church Rd, Glendale Drive and Huntersville-Concord Rd will be discontinued as part of the regular fixed route. Direct service to Northcross Shopping Center will be provided with deviated service. Bus stops along Holly Point Dr provide access to the Northcross Shopping Center as part of the regular fixed route service.  Passengers desiring to travel to within 3/4 mile of the  discontinued areas are encouraged to use the deviated service.

98 McCoy Rd – Service will remain the same between Holly Point Dr and the Huntersville Gateway Park and Ride. Departing the Huntersville Gateway Park and Ride the service will turn right on Statesville Road, right on Gilead Road, left on Boren Street, right on Reese Blvd, right on Julian Clark Ave, and left on McCoy Rd to existing routing. Direct service to Food Lion, Rosedale Commons Shopping Center, and Presbyterian Hospital will be provided with deviated service.  Bus stops along Gilead Road will provide access to these areas via the regular fixed route service. Passengers desiring to travel to within 3/4 mile of the discontinued areas are encouraged to use the deviated service. 

99 Huntersville – The route will be modified to provide more direct service between the Huntersville Gateway Park and Ride and Northlake Mall. Departing the Huntersville Gateway Park and Ride, the route will turn left on
Gilead Road, right on Old Statesville Rd,right on Verhoeff Rd, left on Statesville Rd, right on W.T. Harris Blvd, andright on Perimeter Parkway to Northlake Mall.  Service along Alexanderana Rd, Holbrooks Rd, Central Ave,
Dellwood Dr, Church St, Gibson Park Dr, and Main Street will no longer be a part of the fixed route service.  Passengers desiring to travel to within 3/4 mile of the discontinued areas are encouraged to use the deviated service.
